Islamic Studies in urdu or English in CSS and PMS

 Should Islamic studies be attempted in English as in this way it'll be a marks grabber or it should be in Urdu?

These questions pop up in an aspirant's mind when he/she starts the preparation. so this is the reason I'm here to simplify this for the aspirants.

First of all, you have to ask yourself in which language you've studied Islamic studies from primary to graduation and you will find the answer

Let's break the myth that paper should be attempted in English

Most of the mentors suggest attempting in English even if you have studied Urdu throughout your academics. According to them in English, you require less analysis than in Urdu and literally students get fail by following this advice blindly. Near to me, this is the biggest reason for failure.

Now understand the fact, in Islamic studies, you have to memorize the Ayats and Ahadees and this shift from Urdu to English is not easy. you can manage English writing in other subjects but not in Islamic studies if you have never studied Islamic studies in English. Moreover, you can write Allama Iqbal's poetry while writing the answer in Urdu. I know some CSPs and PMS officers who have scored 70+ marks by attempting papers in Urdu but for some reason, I can't mention their names.

Therefore, take any decision based on your background knowledge.
